چکیده
Abstract Otan-Ile field, located in the transition zone Niger Delta, is characterized by complex structural deformation and faulting which lead to high uncertainties of reservoir properties. These greatly affect exploration development thus require proper characterization. Reservoir characterization requires integration different data such as seismic well log data, are used develop model. Therefore, objective this study characterize sand bodies across field evaluate petrophysical parameters using 3-dimension from four wells. sands were delineated combination resistivity gamma ray logs. The estimation properties, gross thickness, net volume shale, porosity, water saturation hydrocarbon saturation, done standard equations. Two horizons ( T U ) major minor faults mapped ‘Otan-Ile’ field. results show that average permeability 28.19 m, 15%, 37%, 71% 26,740.24 md respectively. F 1 5 dipping northeastern northwestern direction identified. closures can accommodate Amplitude maps superimposed on depth-structure map also validate potential it. Hydrocarbon Utilizing Bacteria (HUB) were isolated at the juvenile and maturity stages from the core and rhizosphere of Tianung 1, Tianung 2 and Cuba 108 accessions of Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus) plant grown in a hydrocarbon unimpacted soil in the Niger Delta Area. Standard culture dependent techniques were used for the enumeration of heterotrophic and hydrocarbon-utilizing bacteria while PCR a...
متن کاملSawdust Assisted Bioremediation of Pms Hydrocarbon Impacted Agricultural Soil in Niger Delta Nigeria
Sawdust evaluation in bioremediation of PMS hydrocarbon polluted agricultural soil was carried out. The effect of different parameters; total petroleum hydrocarbon, dehydrogenase activity, optical density and pH on bioremediation performance were evaluated. Studied parameters such as microbial dynamics and hydrocarbon removal were found to be higher in sawdust amended system and differed signif...
متن کاملBioreactor-based bioremediation of hydrocarbon-polluted Niger Delta marine sediment, Nigeria
Crude oil-polluted marine sediment from Bonny River loading jetty Port Harcourt, Nigeria was treated in seven 2.5 l stirred-tank bioreactors designated BNPK, BNK5, BPD, BNO(3), BUNa, BAUT, and BUK over a 56-day period. Five bioreactors were biostimulated with either K(2)HPO(4), NH(4)NO(3), (NH(4))(2)SO(4), NPK, urea or poultry droppings while unamended (BUNa) and heat-killed (BAUT) treatments w...
متن کاملEvaluation of Geopressure Regime in an Onshore Niger Delta Field of Nigeria
Geopressure evaluation or prediction is an important exercise that must be carefully estimated when planning a drilling campaign. Formations of high pressure regime can be experienced in several areas within the bore hole depths. Being unaware of these areas that experience high pressure regime can create many uncontrolled events such as blow outs that may lead to human and material loss within...
